Tennis, Diving and Kendo, which one will last longer???

Friday, April 8th, 2005

Today is Saturday… yeaaay.. it’s Saturday again…
We love saturday more than any other day. It’s time to relax, to clean up the house, to do the gardening, to go out with friends, to watch movie, or just to do nothing!!
We decided to give tennis a go today. Supposedly we wanted to join the kendo class @ Mel U, but today’s class is not suitable for beginner.
Ok.. plan B takes place then.. let’s play tennis. Or should I say let’s play catch ball??
I am sure that we will be exhausted from collecting the balls, not from hitting the ball!!

Anyhow we don’t mind at all. All we need is activity in such boring and full of routines adult life. While we are young and at it, why not start a HEALTHY lifestyle? hehehe.. (full of bs).

What’s the difference between men who can hit women and who don’t?

Thursday, April 7th, 2005

Few days ago I was quite shocked. One old friend of mine had been a punch-bag of her husband. I should say ex-husband here. She must have gone through hell and back.
Could anyone tell me, why a man could possibly hit the woman whom he gave his wedding vows? Promised to love her and take care of her till the rest of her life.

What makes a man hit a woman?
Anger? Irritated? Aggravated?
What gives him a right to punch? Her parents might not even lay their hands on their beloved daughter.

Then I try to analyse each and every man that I know. How would you distinguish a hitter and a non hitter? To me everyone seems gentle and wouldn’t possibly becoming violent.
Or am I just being naive? Or am I that lucky to never have met such person.

So why some men would hit and some would never never ever done it?
Different education? Different family background? Different culture?
A friend told me, how he was taught by his mom to never ever use violent to women. This teaching was emphasized again and again till it’s sculptured to his mentality.

One guessed, maybe if someone didn’t have a happy family, always getting abused when he was a little. He could be one.

I am still not convinced enough and still wondering for the answers. What I am 100% convinced though.. that my poor girlfriend is a strong woman and mother, and she’s made the right decision to leave her husband. I read that some women would never be able to leave the circle of darkness.
Let’s hope all the best for her!

Why did I have a dream that made me feel tired???

Tuesday, April 5th, 2005

It’s 8 in the morning, sitting alone in the office. Yes it’s too early for work..
Yes I had to wake up earlier for car pooling.
But I didn’t sleep late last night, yet I felt exhausted, as if I’ve done major things in my dream.
Yes I had a dream… which means I did fall asleep!
Why can’t I remember the details ? not even the general ’storyline’.
Only left the impression and feeling that I am TIREDDDDDDDD..
Don’t tell me that I played Kendo in my dream!!! or maybe finalise my current project!!  Maybe.. maybe… there is a connection between what’s going on in real world to our dream???

Have you been BLOGerized yet???

Go to blogcount.com there you’ll find all the reports and statistic about webblog. There is an assertion that 20% of South Korean population are bloggers. Cool huh?

My friend showed me one famous blog www.gizmodo.com "The Gadgets Weblog". Heard that this guy earns USD2000/month from his blog, just by writing guides to cool gadgets.

No need to go to far, if you see the featured blogs on Friendster.. you’ll see many cool and creative blogs.

So what is it about blogging that made people rushing to create one? Some regards it as a channel to his/her creativity. Some maybe wants to gain something out of it.

What about the rest of us? What about those whom don’t specifically have talent in writing/journalism/reviewing? Whose blog only an ordinary story of life.. merely an electronic diary?

There’s nothing wrong about it, isn’t it? One of my friend made a great comment.. "your blog is your personality".

I completely agree with that… show off your personality there… your warmth, your sense of humor.. your hobbies… whatever you want there.. because your blog is YOU.

So…. don’t be shy.. don’t wait no more… create one today!!

How long does a name remain in your memory?

Sunday, April 3rd, 2005

Exactly a year ago, I started to create yahoo groups for my high school friends. Started with 1 moderator and 1 member, gradually now we have around 45 members. This morning I started to search for some more old friends on friendster network. Trying by names, by email address, by association, hometown, school.. you name it. To my astonishment, many names I couldn’t recall… Either only faces, nick names or just the first names..  For some of these clues I even have to dig out deep from memory.

I wonder… is it already erased by memory… or is it still deep inside waiting to be recalled. When is it a friend becoming an old friend? When you don’t contact that particular friend anymore.. is he/she becoming an old friend? What about those that you deliberately want to erase from your memory?

Hurrrrr.. I think it’s the gloomy day that makes me carried away ….

Malaya Inn… Malaya Inn.. where thy you?

Saturday, April 2nd, 2005

Saturday is my day off cooking. We call it "Saturday Indulgence". Went to city yesterday to drop by few stuff for my mom. Ayen is going back home tonite, I hope she will come back soon with a more permanent status!
We decided to be more adventurous…picked a new restaurant. We heard a lot about Malaya Inn from Fen Fen. The great Sotong, sambal kangkung and Hainamese Chicken Rice. After asking for direction and its whereabout, we drove confidently towards Doncaster.
Turned left to High Street, and looking to the right side of the road.
Keep driving.. keep looking.. keep driving.. keep looking
Till the end of High St, couldn’t find the sign..
U TURN
Keep driving.. keep looking.. stop driving.. keep looking
We only saw a Greek Tavern, McD and Red Rooster.. >_<
Felix was extremely hungry, but we didn’t want to drive all the way to Doncaster just to have Red Rooster!!! T_T
At the end we stopped at Box Hill and tried out David and Camy Noodle Place.
Hugeeeeeee portion and cheap price. Ordered Shanghai Noodle , Chicken and Prawn Fried Dumpling and Hot and Spicy Chicken Noodle. Of course we couldn’t finish it.. T_T
When you are hungry, you always want to eat ‘em all… Arghhhhhhhhh

PS: Malaya inn is OFF high st, not ON high st… 25 Village Ave Doncaster T_T
